TRAINING, WORKSHOPS, AND EDUCATION

  • Implemented Everfi DEI training for students in 2020, beginning with sophomores, juniors, and seniors, and adding incoming students during Class of 2024 summer orientation; follow-up modules on microaggressions, implicit bias, identity, and ally-ship will be offered to all first-year students
  • Began providing workshops on implicit bias and creating inclusive environments to School of Business faculty members and first-year students in 2019
  • Provided training to some 1,100 first-year students to help them learn more about, and to explore, the Student Affairs pillar “Cultural Agility”
  • Offered diversity, equity, and inclusion trainings and workshops to various student organizations and paraprofessionals, including Campus MinistryStudent Congress, Dirigo, Social Justice and Immersion, Residence Life, and Orientation Leaders
  • The School of Business dean’s office led creation of a “bias-busting” video, involving cross-campus collaboration, for PC students to watch before filling out faculty teaching evaluation forms

SUPPORT AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES

  • Created an Alumni of Color in Business network in the School of Business, to provide support and networking opportunities for current students
