Response to Student Demands

As I promised on February 24, I have worked to prepare a response to the student demands that were originally presented back in November. The full text of that response is available here for review. In addition to the specific action steps outlined in the document, I am hopeful that this response will lead to increased dialogue and collaboration throughout our campus community as to how best to move the College forward in order to achieve our goal of becoming a more inclusive community that is safe, welcoming, and hospitable for all who live, work, and/or attend classes here. I believe the steps outlined in this document represent a significant pathway forward for the College, and I invite the campus community’s comments and suggestions to as how we can best continue to live up to the mission of Providence College and “affirm the God-given dignity, freedom, and equality of each person.”
